Viewing and Listening Guide

I expect you to tune out.

Not all of this is meant to be experienced as foregrounded narrative, absract or otherwise, however some works do have foregrounding narrative movments which, when viewed in its uninterrupted entirety, may make sense to an audience. or not. the pleasure is in the moment of tuning out…

wherever you are.

This also means tuning in.

You tune into aspects of yourself, like your surroundings, body, emotional, energetic state, your thoughts…. some might be concerning or pleasurable, guilty or secret, and you are invited to ask,

why…. how…. when…

or tune back into the composition it’s too much.

Why I do my Art

Why do I do my art?

I’m bored of all the positivity

I’m attracted to realism

But over the years i’ve learnt

that realism is just a trap

because reality must change

with time

and time must be percieved

by us

and perception is controllable by ourselves and the influences

we are susceptible to.

<<Because it feels good to be free>>

So I’m doing it to voice the need for a reimagining of reality.. one that is expectant of the need to explore the unknown, with acceptance and knowledge of reality as it unfolds.

Why these mediums?

Because they are the mediusm of my generation. We all had to pay rent for shopfronts anyway, so this is another shop front. It’s less tangible, but more available, and less straightforward, but more customisable than a gate-keeper based system.

Video Analysis

Video Analsys

1) Dance Ritual: Deathly, about struggle, abstract/nonsensical, dark, dry, depressing, “rude” (in a not rude way), journey, narrative pragmatic (reversed) -> needs a narrator or book or something to explain what’s goin gon? what’s the story —-> improvise a sotry or get caz to do it live. *craig didn’t understand “death” in collapse.

2) Bushwalk: Beautiful imagry, hypnotic, eeiry/bizarre, geometric, heavy, playful/gentle, long winded, worth it for the song -> comforting and disqueiting. Uncompressed audio?

The original is the director’s cut, Now I’ll edit it for an audience.

This piece is about signals of nature trying to reach out to us but not communicating because we choose not to understand it.
